The basic principle is to apply negative charges to the water being treated, thereby breaking the hydrogen bond between the water molecule and the minerals. This change drops the minerals into suspension to prevent minerals from forming scale and releases the hydrogen and oxygen in the water. These hydrogen and oxygen atoms are instrumental in the reduction of water-borne pathogens and change the state of the water from Anaerobic to Aerobic, with or without the use of aerators or digesters. This gives us an effective and constant treatment of water-borne pathogens.
